Great Wave and Ryoanji, books transformed by Guy Laramee

After Jason deCaires Taylor’s character-driven sculptures are installed in an underwater gallery, they become blank canvases for anemones, coral, and seaweeds to colour.

His show runs from Sunday until July 28 at Jonathan Levine in NYC.

Pre-used plastic water bottles have been transformed into bioluminescent fish on Botafogo beach in Rio. “The Big Fishes” was created in conjunction with the UN conference on sustainable development Rio + 20.
